Asalmualkium i just would like start with saying that this speaker is an amazing speaker mashallah may Allah reward him. anyways this lecture is about how to interact with opposite sex. for example with modesty and hayah. And he was talking about when prophet musa accidentally killed a man but anyways that's not his real story but the real story is about how one time prophet musa was walking and he saw two women pulling their sheep rather than playing tug of war and nobody is winning and he went and asked them whats going on but this is important he went with modesty he didn't start a conversation he just asked them whats the deal so they said with modesty that we cant feed are animals because those men are feeding their animals and we don't want to go down because they aren't giving us space and we don't want to go their and rub elbows with them so we will wait until they finish then the prophet didn't tell them lets go and feed them no he had modesty he took the sheep's and feed them and brought them back to the young ladies. but these ladies did this work is because their beloved father is very old and weak and cannot work so they to his spot and he only had these to young ladies, but this is a reality for everyone its life. And the reason Allah mentions them in surah Al Qasa that they are very telling with modesty and hayah and these situations can happen anywhere in workforce. later one of the ladies came with modesty and shyness and asked prophet Musa that their dad wanted him so that he can pay him for what he did.And the most important idea or conclusion is that have modesty and hayah to the opposite sex. lmao at the end they started playing ping pong awkward lol but mashallah beautiful lecture.
Allah (swt) talks about Prophet Musa's amazing journey in Surah Al- Qasas and one of the story Allah talks about was when Musa ran away from Egypt after accidentally killing someone by punching him. When he reached Madyan he found people giving water to their sheep and on the top corner of the hill prophet Musa saw 2 women struggling to get water for their sheep and he went to them and asked them what is the problem instead of having an elaborate conversation. The women answered that we can't feed our sheep until the entire man are done since they don't have the courtesy to give them room to feed their sheep, so we are going to wait until they're all done even if it takes all day. So then Prophet Musa without even asking grabbed their sheep and feed them water and sat them back down. This story teaches us that even under the state of work if you stick to your principles you can still get your work done and that you can never give up your principles of hayaa. This story also showed us the modesty of Prophet Musa who instead of having a conversation did what was needed to be done. Afterwards the women approached Prophet Musa with shyness (which shows their modesty) and told him that no doubt my Dad wants to meet you and reward you for the help he gave them. Throughout this short story Allah (swt) shows us the modesty, confidence, and shyness these women had and how their father trusted them to be around men. The lesson learned is the under any circumstances you can never give up the principles of hayaa even under the state of work. That we should never interact or have to much conversations that are unnecessary with the opposite sex just like what Prophet Musa did. Thank you!
assalam alakium, my reflection to this video is that when talking to the opposite gender you should have hayah and modesty. The speaker mentioned an important story about prophet musa from surah al- qasas. The story was that one day prophet Musa was walking and he saw two women pulling their sheep and it looked like they were playing tug a war with it. Prophet musa went and asked the two ladies whats wrong, without trying to make small talk. The two ladies reponded with modesty and said that there are alot of men and they were going to wait until all the men are gone so that they could feed their sheep. So then prophet musa took their sheep fed it, gave it back to the ladies, and went to sit in the shade. Then one of the ladies went with shyness to tell prophet musa that her father wants to meet him. So basically always have modesty, if its work or anything else, have modesty. under any circumstances always have modesty, and dont make unnecessary conversations.
Nouman ali khan introduces this week’s topic “Opposite sex attraction” with an ayah from Surah Al-Qasas(28,23) and begins the story of prophet Musa. After accidentally killing someone, he runs away and is welcomed by the sight of people watering a flock of sheep. The ayah explains how prophet Musa saw two women tugging at their sheep, as If some kind of tug a war game. They were the only two unable to tame or control their sheep, whilst everyone else properly fed their sheep. Prophet Musa then approached these women and asked “what is your circumstance” or, what is your problem? While Islam stresses modestly, hayaa, and guarding our tongues and eyes, Islam does not forbid you from helping another Muslim brother or sister in need. The women replied to prophet Musa and explained how they cannot obtain any water for their sheep because of the men that are occupying the space by the water. Out of modesty, they were willing to wait until the men cleared out before they approached that area. These women stated their father’s old age and his incapability to take care of the animals. Islam does not forbid women from working or completing tasks, however they are required to guard themselves and practice a principle of hayaa. Allah swt then says how prophet musa generously took the sheep, fed them, and returned to the shade. These short verses are extremely resourceful when in a situation like theirs. Prophet muse did not make small talk with these women, nor did he try and vice versa. Situations in which opposite sex’ will be forced to interact is something that cannot be controlled. However Islam has a beautiful guide book to how a female or male should communicate/ behave towards one another. These women Allah mentioned in this surah were not ashamed or hiding, they spoke with prophet musa with confidence whilst carrying themselves with modesty. Those who said these women were outgoing and tomboys, Allah states in the next surah that one of them walked back to musa with shyness and Informed him about her father’s wishes to pay him for his generous deed. This women walked with shyness and modesty, whilst carrying herself in a respectable manner. This is the character unfortunately not many have but inshallah will strive to obtain.
Asslamualikum, in these Ayat in Surat Al-Qasas, AN amazing story is told. this story can be used in many aspects in our lives, especially since we live in a world that at many times demands men and women interactions. Musa (AS) has just left Egypt since he killed a man and was on his way to Madyan. He passed by a well and found men surrounding it feeding their animals. however over the hill he saw two women fighting with their cattle to make sure that they don't move. He went over modestly and asked what were they doing. They replied saying that they need to feed their sheep but dont wish to do so with all these men around. they said they will do so once everyone is gone. Musa (AS) then takes their sheep and feeds it himself. Then the daughters take the sheep and go back to thier father who calls for Musa( AS). In this world it is almost impossible to not interact with the opposite sex. no matter if you stay home all day or if you are working in a hospital. The main key to these situations for men is to be modest and have hayaa while respecting the women around you. Musa (AS) showed this by barely talking to them but fixing their problems. For women you have to be modest and have hayaa while also carrying yourself confidently. You should know how to object your voice when needed but also know to have hayaa in front of men.
